Ulva microbiome: collaboration among Ghent University and University of Gothenburg

In September Prof. Olivier de Clerck and PhD student Luna van der Loos of the Phycology lab of Ghent University visited us at the Tjärnö Marine Laboratory of the University of Gothenburg.

It was the first physical visit possible after almost two years and it resulted in a week full of data analyses, field sample collections and first interpretations of results derived on the Ulva microbiome.

We had a great and very productive sampling for new microbiome studies and even the weather facilitated a smooth and successful sample collection.
